Google Nexus Tablet

Back to the days of CES when Asus announced the very popular yet to be released Asus EEE Pad MeMo, Android 4.0 ICS tablets seemed to get as low as $250. But with Google stepping into the frame, the Android 4.0 ICS Tablets could be seen right from $150. Asus will mostly take up the responsibility of producing these low price powerful tablets.

Google Nexus Tablet – Really?

The Google Nexus Tablet will surely be the next hot thing as soon as it gets real, but is it worth it. Asus will be manufacturing it, but at what cost. The problem is that the previously announced Asus EEE Pad MeMo would be cancelled in order for the Google Nexus Tablet to be produced and that would really disappoint the eager people who were waiting to get an MeMo Pad(including Me). Also with the new Google Nexus Tablet being priced at less than $150, there is no possibility that Asus will be using the Tegra 3 for these devices and hence we will expect only lower quality processors.

The Google Nexus Tablet would really be great, but when it comes axing the MeMo Pad, there is quite a lot for it to achieve. The 8MP camera in announced EEE Pad MeMo will definitely not find its place in the Google Nexus Tablet because of the limitations in the budget. Rather than coming up with a very cheap tablet, Google should be considering to produce something that will be capable of delivering performance and at the same time be affordable. The Google tablet should be produced along the Asus EEE Pad MeMo and the users must be having the choice of choosing the MeMo or the Google Nexus Tablet.
