LG has been in and out of the smartphone game for quite sometime now as it has failed to establish a strong customer base. Samsung and HTC have gone ahead and unleased their quad-core beasts and LG is playing the waiting game. We have seen that both Samsung and HTC have used only a Cortex A9 Snapdragon quadcore processor, but LG is planning to leap ahead of the competition with a Krait A15 Quad core processor that is expected to set the performance for the current year. Along with the powerful combination of a quad core Krait processor, the Adreno 320 will significantly deliver amazing graphics content on a smartphone. LG has named its quad core Krait chipset as L9.
The hyped LG flagship is expected to have a TrueHD display and a minimum of 10MP camera. Also 2GB of RAM is expected to fuel this beast of a device. The code name of the device is LG F180.
Summing up the various rumors on the LG F180, we have a 1.5GHz Quad core Krait processor, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320, 13MP camera, 5inch True HD display. The specifications sound really impressive and of course it will be running ICS out of the box(hopefully JellyBean update is on the way).
