The entry range Indian phablets are really making a mark in the Indian android market with a lot of features and an affordable price tag. Micromax is one of the front runners of the Indian phablet industry and are likely to hold on to that position for the near future. Their second phablet – Micromax A110 Canvas 2 was a huge hit. Micromax had been planning a successor and today we have official annoucement from Micromax about the Micromax A116 Canvas HD.
Micromax A116 Canvas HD – Features and Specification
The new Micromax A116 Canvas HD is one of the first phones in India to land with the MediaTek MT6589 Quad-core SoC. It will be the first budget phablet to have a HD screen and will run on Android 4.1 Jellybean out of the box. All the issues of the Micromax A110 seem to be addressed in the Canvas 3.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD – Pricing and Availability
The biggest selling point of the Canvas 2 was its price(Rs10,000). The new Micromax A116 Canvas HD is an upgrade over the Canvas 2 in most of the vital departments like display, RAM, processor and OS, so the price is expected to be higher than the Canvas 2. The price of Canvas 3 is expected to be around Rs15,000. The Micromax A116 Canvas HD will be available from February 2013.
