Sony Xperia Sola
The Xperia Pepper had been creating quite a buzz in the smartphone rumor market for sometime until today when Sony took the curtains away and coined it as the Xperia Sola. Earlier today, Sony had actually confirmed that the Sony Xperia Sola will be available during the Q2, but neither the exact date nor the price was revealed.
Sony Xperia Sola – Features
The Sony Xperia Sola is not much of a dazzler with a huge screen and so on, it is just a midget looking device that packs a lot on the inside. The phone packs a very moderate 3.7″inch reality display and runs on a dual core processor powered by a NovaThor chipset. The Sony Xperia Sola is the slimmest among the Sony Xperia U and Sony Xperia P measuring just 9.9mm. One unique factor that distinguishes the Sony Xperia Sola from other phones is the “floating touch”. The users need not touch the screen to actually touch it, but just taking their finger over the required place will do. Its best use comes in the web browser where it will allow the users to take their fingers over the screen to control the cursor just like the desktop version. The 3.7″inch Mobile Bravia display has a screen resolution of 480×854 making it an ideal display. There is also an accompanying 5MP camera that will allow the users to shoot 720p videos. Sony have never let their users down in music and the Xperia Sola will be no different thanks to the xLOUD stereo speakers improving the volume, but not degrading the song. The Sony Xperia Sola will be having NFC and there will be a couple of smart tags that the users can give up to ten functions. The only let down is that the Sony Xperia Sola will be releasing with Android 2.3, but Sony has assured that the Sola will be getting the ICS by summer.
Sony Xperia Sola – Bottomline
The Sony Xperia Sola comes in three colors – black, white and red. Each of these colors look superb on the phone. The exact release date is not known, but it is expected to be in Q2 2012. There are no words on the pricing of Sony Xperia Sola yet.
